shop our sale with code twentyoff

OK, with that out of the way: Decanters,

We're now getting our hands on the first 50 units and doing some testing on them. They will be in our office in a week then we will be doing some videos and some examples of the packaging and ways of using the decanter on youtube and Facebook vlogs.

An important note on this, the sample 50 are not pre-production samples but rather direct from the production line. We are testing the finished product. Once we are satisfied then we will lock all the orders in on the survey and ask that you make sure all your addresses are in place and we look to be shipping in the last week of November, if there are any delays with shipping or the classic customs holdups, we will let you know of delays but we're hoping for smooth sailing.

Challenges solved:

We had some challenges with the wood bases and made sure to have the wood specially cared for so that it will be as stable as it is beautiful. Also, we made a special seal for the infusion chamber to insure a super tight bond. my guess is that with all our additions this will be just a stunning piece. We also included instructions with helpful tips and hints on how to best use the decanter, wash it and care for it for a lifetime. With all of this in place, we're hopeful that we achieved the level of product we have become known for, we'll know in a week and we'll share video then :)

Home stretch
over 3 years ago – Wed, Sep 30, 2020 at 11:36:21 PM

Hi all,

We are well into our last mile and heading into final production and shipping.

Right now we are focusing on an initial 50 unit pre-production test that will determine all the qc issues and resolve any wood variability or changes in wood grain that may arise. This is an important last step before we get inti a large scale production. While 500 units is not quite the large scale run that the facility can do but for us, this is a considerable challenge and we don't take it lightly.

When we add to this the doubling of these figures as we will have the decanter ready for our partners in Brooklyn for 500 more units, the challenge is doubled.

So in short, we are now in the process of making the first 50 units that will be inspected and tested. If those are perfect then we will create a full run of 500 then fulfil the orders in about 6 week's time

As always, we are here for any questions or concerns.

Best wishes

Molds done and onwards with production
over 3 years ago – Thu, Sep 10, 2020 at 12:03:56 PM

Hi all,

I just wanted to drop a line to update you all on the decanter progress.

Before I do so, folks have been asking for a discount code to our shop for gifts heading into the fall, so feel free as Kickstarter backers to use code twentyoff for 20% off all our gear.

So about production, well, we're full steam ahead. The molds were finalized and you can see below the resulting stainless steel parts and their connection to the internal glass bottle. It's a perfect fit and also looks pretty amazing.

Next steps:

In th next month all the wood parts will be made then ready for assembly for an initial test of 50. Once those are doneand approved then we're on to final assembly and shipping. We're on time with the project and it's looking pretty amazing.

Stay tuned for more :) Next time we have an update on woodworking, the oak spheres and more

Cheers

Molds for stainless steel
almost 4 years ago – Thu, Jul 30, 2020 at 12:43:50 PM

Hi all,

So for the past few weeks we have been working on creating the molds for mass production processes for the stainless steel bits of the decanter.

Below see images of the mold  with a description of how they work to create a finished piece,

But before we do, if you havent already please jump over to our survey page, we only have a few days before we close it out .

The molds for the backbone of the decanter because all the stainless steel steel parts frame the decanter, if they are off at all then the decanter will not hold. We took our time with the press-parts so that we have almost no tolerances in the final stainless steel rings. There is a real chance that if this process has any flaws then we will be back-tracking to fill in the gaps instead of finishing up the decanter. Anyway, the molds came out perfect, we are doing final testing on them next week so we will have videos on that as we do.

In the meantime, I know it might only excite me to see molds coming together perfectly but here's hoping that excitement resonates with you as well :)

Top and bottom molds on the alignment table
securing rings and tapping weights.

So next week is a video of these doing their work and mass producing the stainless steel parts. Alright, that's it for this update,

We're here if you have any questions as always

Our recommendations for surveys
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Jul 28, 2020 at 10:12:33 AM

Hi all,

Surveys are out right now, hurray :)

You will have received an email from us via Backerkit to your email inbox, if for some reason you have misplaced it, find it right here

We wanted to take the time to give our recommendations for how to complete them:

Backerkit gives you the opportunity to grab anything else from the Nisnas shop that will compliment your W.E.T Decanter. Not all our gear is in the same theme as the decanter but these 3 special pieces are guaranteed to make the decanter experience just that much better:

Grab a pair of Oak Honey Tumblers:

https://wet-whisky-decanter.backerkit.com/

These one-piece oak tumblers are the perfect companion for the decanter and really do complete the set. They set the drinking experience apart from anything else out there, just add them to your survey at a discount:

Uppercut flask:

https://wet-whisky-decanter.backerkit.com/

You can use the Uppercut as your portable extension for the decanter, you can create an amazing new drink in the decanter then carry it in style with a built-in stainless steel cup.

Kole Flask:

https://wet-whisky-decanter.backerkit.com/

If you made a stunning refined whisky in your decanter, this small flask is the perfect discreet vessel for a unique one-of-a-kind spirit, that is small, portable and can even be taken on a flight as it is below the max allowed flights :)

More oak spheres:

https://wet-whisky-decanter.backerkit.com/

If you have a decanter, you need to get more oak spheres so you can experiment with them in various spirits, each one comes in a pack of 10.

OK, if you need anything else from us, drop us a line. Images and progress reports from the decanter are slated for our next update, stay tuned :)

Cheers, Max, Yossi and team Nisnas
